Leadership

CFMC’s professional team offers our clients decades of combined experience in health data analysis, epidemiology, research analysis, biostatistics, education, information systems and project management. In addition, our physicians and registered nurses have experience in a broad range of clinical settings. This committed team helps ensure that all projects meet – and usually exceed – our clients’ expectations.

Arja P. Adair, Jr., MBA
President and CEO

Mr. Adair has been involved with CFMC since 1976. After serving as Regional Manager, Division Director, Senior Vice President, and Executive Director, he assumed the position of President and CEO in 1999. He oversees all aspects of the operation and leads the company’s strategic planning and business development activities. Mr. Adair is actively involved in industry affairs and has served as a member of the board of directors of the American Health Quality Association, the American Center for Clinical Quality Evaluation, and the Kerr L. White Institute for Health Services Research. He has also served as President of Colorado Personalized Education for Physicians.

Nancy Borgstadt, RN, MS, CNS
Director, Review Services

Ms. Borgstadt oversees all aspects of review activities, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Private programs at CFMC. She has years of clinical and leadership experience in all health care settings, as well as expertise in clinical and education program development.

Gary Brug, BA
Director, Information Technology

CFMC and its clients need access to enormous amounts of reliable data, and Mr. Brug and his Information Technology team help ensure that the data is available. Mr. Brug oversees all aspects of assessing information needs, designing software programs, identifying system requirements, training users, and providing direct user support.

Beth Katzenberg, EdM, MBA, CPHQ
Director, Corporate Quality & Compliance

Beth Katzenberg oversees CFMC's organizational quality management program and compliance activities. She has quality management experience in a wide variety of health care settings, including inpatient and ambulatory acute care, specialty clinics, and mental health facilities. She led numerous high level teams for health care improvement projects, including clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance activities, quality and performance measurement, and multidisciplinary patient assessment programs. She also developed and presented education and training modules on quality improvement. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).

Laura Palmer
Director, Performance Excellence

Ms. Palmer oversees quality-project management, data abstraction tool development, and data analysis for local, regional, and multi-state health care quality improvement projects. CFMC offers technical assistance to help Colorado health care providers meet the quality of care expectations of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In addition to the Colorado CMS contract, CFMC contracts with private and not-for-profit associations to provide similar services.

Lynda Peltier, PHR
Director of Human Resources

Ms. Peltier oversees all aspects of the Human Resources department for CFMC, including operations, benefit administration, regulatory functions, employee relations, strategic planning and employee morale. She provides comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Human Resource policies and government regulations while providing documented administrative leadership and communication skills.

William Wood
Director, Fiscal Services

Mr. Wood directs CFMC’s activities in finance, accounting, purchasing, budgeting, and proposal preparation. He has been with the organization since 1975.
