If You Have Questions About Your Care ...

Beneficiary Helpline: 1.800.727.7086

If you have questions about your health care rights or the quality of medical care you receive, call the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care's Beneficiary Hotline.

If you are told Medicare will not pay for your hospital admission or that you have to leave the hospital before you feel ready, you should:

Talk to your doctor:

  • Ask for a written notice that says Medicare may not pay for your hospital care (a Notice of Noncoverage).
  • When you are asked to sign the Notice of Noncoverage, your signature only indicates that you have received the document, not that you agree with the discharge.
  • Call the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care for a review as soon as you get your written notice of noncoverage.
