Quality Summit

CFMC will continue its unified approach for all national inpatient topics, the Regional Meetings. The inpatient clinical topics include a total of 24 quality of care measures. All hospitals and managed care organizations (MCOs) in the state will be encouraged to continue developing rapid cycle quality improvement projects in each clinical topic area. Since July 1999, CFMC's Quality Summit team has traveled across the state to work with hospitals. These local meetings provide education on the national priority topics and quality improvement techniques. They also provide a non-threatening environment for local hospitals to share their success stories as well as barriers and lessons learned. Between meetings the Hospital Inpatient Team remains in constant, proactive contact with the hospitals.
