Every six months as part of the 9th Statement of Work
(SOW) Patient Safety theme, CFMC creates a report on
nursing home disparities in Colorado, specifically
focusing on pressure ulcers and physical restraints.
This report summarizes findings, highlights important
issues, and makes recommendations as how to remedy the
disparities identified. In addition to information on
pressure ulcers and physical restraints, future reports
may include any pertinent information related to health
care disparities among the nursing home population in
Colorado.
The Colorado Foundation for Medical Care (CFMC), the Medicare quality improvement organization for Colorado, prepared this material under
contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an
agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The contents
do not necessarily reflect CMS Policy. |
