Nursing Home Quality Initiative
(NHQI)
The Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) is funded by the Centers for
Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Working in cooperation with CMS, the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care (CFMC) provides quality improvement and clinical materials regarding quality measures for all nursing homes in Colorado,
and also offers assistance with quality improvement strategies.
The Colorado Foundation for Medical Care (CFMC), the Medicare quality improvement organization for Colorado, prepared this material under
contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an
agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The contents
