Colorado Regional Extension Center (COREC)
CFMC is one of the Colorado Regional Extension Center partners working with the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO) to offer technical assistance, guidance, and information on best practices to support and accelerate Colorado healthcare providers' efforts to become meaningful users of Electronic Health Records (EHRs). The program is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). More information is available on CORHIO's web site, at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) site for EHR Incentive Programs, and on the web site for the Office of the National Coordinator.
Attaining Meaningful Use
As a COREC partner, CFMC's goal is to help providers - those with or without an existing electronic health record - to attain CMS-defined meaningful use of their EHR as quickly as possible. Free support includes:
- EHR selection and implementation
- Project management services
- Practice and workflow redesign
- Privacy and security best practices
- HIE support
