 The Variation Analysis by Location &
Understanding Efficiency Project (VALUE) project is a pilot funded by the
CMS for Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) to test
interventions designed to understand and change healthcare cost and
quality patterns demonstrated to differ between geographic regions.
Participants in this pilot are the QIOs in
Colorado,
New Mexico,
California and
New Jersey.
The Colorado Foundation for Medical Care (CFMC), the Medicare Quality
Improvement Organization for Colorado, prepared this material under
contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an
agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The contents
